The mango tree is the type of tree that has a deep rooted system. It also has the symmetrical evergreens. The average height of the mango trees would be 90 feet and the width is 80 feet. So to choose the mature fruit, you may not make the choice from the color of the skin, however you should choose from its sweet fragrance and the characteristics of mature skin. The skin of the mature fruits is thin, tough and smooth. The flesh of the ripe mango may range from pale yellow to orange. Most of the mango fruits are sweet, but some varieties can be quite sour. The fruit is juicy and sometimes it can also be fibrous.
There are so many mango varieties, whoever some of the most recommended ones from Hawaii would be Fairchild, Ah Pink, Keitt, Harders, Gouveia, Momi K, Rapoza and Pope. These varieties are known to have superior fruit quality. All the varieties are monoembryonic, therefore they do not grow from seeds. Mango is a seasonal fruit. It is only available during certain period only. The tree bear flowers from December to April and the fruit will come afterwards. Sometimes, the flowering happens on different months. So even though mangoes are seasonal, they can also be harvested in outside the schedule but the results are usually not as good.
