Desserts can be used as rewards for children when they are willing to finish their meal, or when they behave, or when they finally finish their broccoli, and so many other conditions being given by the parents. But desserts do not have to be only ice cream or fattening cakes.
Well, of course we all love chocolate. But eating chocolate everyday may not be a wise way to feed the children. Yes, children do love ice creams but there are not so many nutrients can be gained from those foods. Mothers everywhere should be acting smart by creating desserts that are easy and loved by the children. Does it sound impossible? Well, not if you know these recipes made from pineapple chunks.
The first recipe is the recipe of pineapple pop. Moms only need to spare 15 minutes and buy 3 ingredients. The ingredients are 3 cups of pineapple chunks (for best result, moms should never consider canned pineapples. When mom feels that peeling and carving through the eyes of the pineapples to be too much trouble, then just buy a pineapple corer to solve the peeling issue), 1/3 cup of fresh milk and ¼ cup of sugar.
When the three items are ready, put them all in a food processor and turn the machine on. When you see that there are no chunks left, then it is ready to be removed to a bowl or simply put them in a Popsicle mold. Put it in the freezer for at least 4 hours before serving the Pineapple Pop to the children.
Another recipe is the Fire and Ice Pineapple Chunks. It needs four ingredients, a quarter cup of sugar, 2 teaspoons of coarse salt, half a teaspoon of fresh chile like habanero (the chile should be chopped finely beforehand), and 4 cups of fresh pineapple chunks. The first thing to prepare is a medium sized bowl. In the bowl, you need to combine sugar, chile and salt.
Mix them well it a spoon. Then put in the pineapple and keep the bowl in the refrigerator for more than two hours but less than one day. This dish can be divided into four smaller bowls to be served to 4 persons. This easy dessert may not be suitable for children as there is a kicking spice in it, but still it can be a dessert for the adults. It is sweet, it is salty and it is so spicy to make you want more.
