The chain started out in San Diego, California in 1978. The restaurants are now incorporated as the Garden Fresh Corp. Up until today, the Soulplantation is still headquartered in San Diego. As the company was very popular in the Southern California, they built so many restaurants under the name of the Souplantation in the area and then they tried to expand their influence by opening more restaurants under the name of Sweet Tomatoes. The Sweet Tomato Restaurants immediately gained the public’s attention with their extensive baked potato, salad bar, bread, muffins, pizza, and several varieties of soup. They have an amazing unique drink called the fountain drinks. They also have a counter especially for fruit, another one for ice cream machine and another one for dessert. They have successfully make everyone love the healthy fruit as they have been able to show that even the healthy food can be tasty and delicious. Moreover, they recently changed their whole operation to be able to get the green restaurant certification and were successful too.
The restaurant chains have been able to convert their traditional operations to the modern and green practice. Of course the switch takes time and also budget to spend.
