Health is the greatest treasure. Without health, no matter how much money you have in the world, you would not be able to enjoy your life. The best ways to ensure that you can keep your body as healthy as possible is by doing the regular excercises and to consume the healthy diet. Although they seem to be easy, but on the other hand many people cannot commit to do both. One of the main reason is the fact that they are so busy. Their tight schedule made them unable to keep a regular schedule of exercise and prepare healthy food on daily basis. But at least one of these can be changed with the easy to prepare cherry tomato salad.
The cherry tomato salad is easy to make and all the ingredients are easy to find. Moreover, the small tomatoes are so popular because of their great taste as well as health benefits. Are there anymore reasons why you do not want to try this healthy recipe? When you are ready, just prepare these ingredients below:
- A pint of cherry tomato salad or grape tomatoes
- A pint of yellow grape tomatoes
- Half thinly sliced red onion
- A quarter cup of olive oil
- 3 tablespoons of balsamic vinegar
- 3 tablespoons of minced fresh parsley
- A heaping tablespoon of jarred pesto
- A quater tablespoon of sugar
- A clove of pressed garlic
- Salt and pepper to taste
- A head of cut into chunks iceburg lettuce
Cooking Instructions:
Halve the small tomatoes and the place them in a zipper bag. Use the large bag so that you will have enough room. Add the red onion, balsamic, olive oil, pesto, parsley, garlic, sugar and of course season them with salt and peper to taste.
Once everything is in, seal the bag and make sure that all the air is not in the bag. Place these ingredients in the friedge until it is time for dinner.
When you want to serve the salad, place the lettuce in a large bowl. Pour the mixed content of the zipper bag to the bowl, on top of the iceberg salad. Toss everything for a couple of time until everything is mixed evenly, then serve it. You do need to add any dressings as the tomato juice will become the salad dressing. That is why this salad is both lighter and healthier compared to the other salad.
