The Lophophora Williamsii is not a new species, however there are some of its new varieties that are growing in the North America like the Czech Republic. The growers seem to concentrate to be able to produce the plants that are the hardiest like those that can be found in the furthest regions of Texas and Mexico.
Even though there are not many varieties of the Lophophora Williamsii, but most of them will grow into large plants when they are fully mature. Most of these grown plants will bear many pups all through the course of its life. The mature pups that its producing are often very large. It is often difficult to tell just how big the pups are going to be. Most growers will leave it to time to tell its biggest pup size.
Almost all the Lophophora Williamsii has the same average content of alkaloid which is between fifteen to thirty percent mescaline. Even when they do not have the average number of mescaline, still all of the members of the species are the mescaline producers. Among the original and first known Lophophora Williamsii are self pollinating and do not need the help from the other creatures. They are of the northern part variety.
Moreover, the plant can also be cross pollinated and this makes them healthier if compared with the other species. Even so, it may be quite difficult to tell if the plant is self pollinated or if they have been crossed pollinated. The plant can be so easily self pollinate itself that when it does have the seeds, we do not know which process result the seeds. The only answer to the mystery will only be answered when the future seeds have grown.
Growers can grow the plants by using seeds. The Lophophora Williamsii is typically germinating easily from the seeds. However, not all seeds would make great plant. Make sure that you would choose the only the best and freshest seeds that are available to ensure you on the quality of the plants. However, some seeds may live for quite some time when refrigerated. There were notes that the seeds are still fresh even after being kept for years, however, the seeds should always be kept in the refrigerator. When a gardener is growing from seeds, then the plant may reach maturity after a year and a half. By which time, the plant may already bear some of its beautiful flowers.
