You would be surprised to be greeted with the atmosphere of the Steel Cactus when you set foot in the place. At first you may think that it is a restaurant, especially if you come in the morning as they serve delicious Mexican morning breakfasts to the guests. However, you will see that they also serve alcoholic drinks in larger options than most restaurants. Just like the bar, then at night you would see that the restaurant come to live and become more of a bar then a restaurant.
The Steel Cactus became famous because of its authentic Mexican gourmet such as the Pesca Tacos which is made of pineapple salsa, cabbage and blackened mahi mahi. Moreover, the restaurant is at a strategic place of near a strip mall. The restaurant is always packed with guests who would then debate among themselves about the tortilla or the masa or the carnitas. They wanted to know more behind these delicious meals served in the restaurant. Is the tortilla made of flour or corn? Is the masa a homemade one or not? Etc, etc. But as the restaurant has grown into a bar during the night, many foodies debates about it ingredients and authenticity have shifted.

The Steel Cactus is open from Mondays to Sundays. The opening hour is 11 am until 2 am. During the opening time, the restaurant never fails to serve an incredible Mexican bar food that guest would be able to create whatever food they want to create. One of the most favorite dish in the Steel Cactus is traditional guacamole, 3 amigos, hot bean dip, fajitas and carnitas tacos. As for the drink, the Steel Cactus offers Margaritas, tequila, frozen margaritas, wine and a wide selection of beer. That is why, the restaurant is not a suitable for children restaurant. The price ranges between $3 to $11 for the appetizers, $11 to $13 for the tacos, $9 to $11 for the burritos and $10 to $14 for the entrees. If you do not bring cash, then you can simply pay with credit cards.
The Steel Cactus has a nice roof deck that you can enjoy with friends over drinks after the dinner. The roof deck has more than 125 seating capacity while the indoor dining room is slightly bigger with more than 130 seating capacity. But you need to be ready with the loud talking and music at the late hours, especially if you choose the roof deck.
