We can never forget Thanksgiving dinners. After all, it is one of the few exceptions when we can eat the heavy meals without feeling guilty, at least not as guilty as we usually are. Imagine just how many types of sauces are on the table. In addition, you will have stuffing, desserts with so much cream and even some ice cream, breads and of course turkey.
The slight guilt should be a good drive to try and find some recipes that are special enough for Thanksgiving but light enough to be enjoyed without any guilt at all. And if we are talking about dessert, then a turn to the lighter and less sweeter meal such as the pineapple soufflé can be a nice completion from all of the extravagant dishes there are served.
It is quite amazing that a dish like pineapple soufflé is not often served for Thanksgivings and any other occasions. After all, the dish can be so refreshing and light, the type of dessert that is suitable for many. It is also quite surprising to know that the dish was actually becoming famous because of it is mentioned as one of the favorite holiday dessert of Judi Fennel, an award winning novelist and it is also written by a popular cookbook author, Sonia Martinez. Sonia Martinez said that there are few ingredients to be prepared before cooking the dish and the ingredients are:
1 stick of butter
1 cup of sugar
4 large eggs
1 can of drained and crushed pineapple
5 slices of cubed white breads (do not remove the crust)
Sonia said that the cake is easy to prepare and is suitable for holiday season because during seasons like these, hosts would have to prepare so many types of dishes in order to cater all the family needs and make the meal as one of the most memorable ones. Before preparing the cake, the oven should be heated until it reaches 350 degrees Fahrenheit. While it is heating, you need to mix butter and sugar. When you can see that the color turned lighter, add the eggs one at a time. Lastly, mix in the pineapple and bread. This time, you should not use the mixer again.
Voila! The batter is done and all you need to do is to pour it into a square 9 inch casserole dish and put it in the oven. Bake it for about 45 minutes of until you find your toothpick clean when you stick it into the cake. Afterwards, put it on a rack to cool off for a while before serving .
